Are we the perfect fit?

I am passionate about capturing beautiful images that preserve your precious moments.  I love working with people and my style is professional, friendly and relaxed.  In my experience, this helps us to create the most natural of images.

I understand that having your photograph taken is a very personal experience and it's an investment, in terms of time and resources.  You want to be sure you are hiring a photographer that you trust, is a good fit for you, and who is able to provide you with a high quality experience and product.  In advance of any booking, I will always confirm what you are looking for by having a chat on the phone (or video call if you prefer). This also means we can discuss pricing and I can provide you with a quote for my services.

Below you can find out a little bit more about me and what makes me tick.  If you like my work and feel we could be a good fit then please get in touch either using the contact me tab or call me directly on 07763 067499.

From 1979 to...

As a little person I was renowned for being 'observant'. It was common to hear things like "Is that new shoes you're wearing Aunt Helen?" or, "Is that a new picture in the hall Gran?"  It never left me.  Nowadays you'll often find me sipping a smooth black coffee (preferably from a hand thrown pottery mug) with a slice of cake, watching the world go by.  I love people watching and find it both relaxing and inspiring.  It's a real asset in helping me capture these special moments and images.

Whether in the hills, by the sea, immersed in a wild woodland or discovering a new city by foot, being outdoors is as important as breathing to me.  I love to travel and have been lucky to visit some incredible places around the world and I always have my camera on hand to capture my experiences.

the present moment...

My travel photography was, in fact, what led me to develop my own photography business. After 10 years of travelling, working for Non-Government Organisations (NGO's) and documenting my experiences with my camera and blog, I realised I wanted to develop my photography further.  So I established Jacqui Dunbar Photography in 2012 and then expanded into Weddings, Portraits and Events.  Today I am proud to bring 25+ years of experience of working with people to my business.  Sensing those precious moments as they unfold, capturing emotive and timeless images to be remembered and celebrated for years to come.  What a truly beautiful profession.

Finally, here's a couple of other little nuggets to help you know me better.  I love a good Gin & Tonic and I even have a small GinBar at home.   I'm also a bit of a stationary addict, be it a gorgeous notebook (or ten), my extensive range of artist pens and art supplies (who knew you could get so many varieties of white marker???) or that every bag I own is home to at least two of my favourite paper mate non-stop pencils.  I'm a sucker for those quotes that pop up on your timeline, in fact my phone gallery is full of them!

I'm lucky to have a beautiful little studio, so if I'm not immersed in creating your images I might just be there painting or creating.  Add a vase of fresh flowers to my work space and there you have me!
